Befriending Service
Being Supported
Our befriending service in Adlington, Lancashire supports people to continue getting out doing the things they love. Our aim is to reduce isolation and promote independence.
The sky is the limit with Being Supported, whatever the activity we will accommodate. We support people to fill their week with the activities they love the most.
These include, but are not limited to:
- Trips to Birkacre and other garden centres local to you.
- Walks around Rivington and the Reservoirs.
- Walks along the canal.
- Duxbury driving range and golf course.
- Spending time at home and in the garden.
- Clearing things out or tidying up.
- Watching the Bowls at The Bowling Green.
- Shopping and retail therapy.
- Telephone befriending.
- Reading books, newspapers, even instruction manuals!
- Lunches and coffee shops.
- Bird watching, or fishing.
- Visiting the graveyard.
We always welcome new and innovative ideas from people regarding what they would like to be supported to do! For more information, get in touch with us.
